The Fractional Laser
One of the most effective treatments for anti-aging and the improvement of skin tone and texture is the stimulation of your body’s natural collagen production. The fractional laser, which is a non-ablative skin resurfacing device, promotes the development of collagen on a cellular level. It works by creating controlled thermal energy, which promotes collagen growth. This, in turn, will provide the most optimal cosmetic benefits for skin resurfacing and textural irregularities. The fractional laser addresses skin texture by improving fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring and certain other forms of scarring, enlarged pores, and stretch marks. It helps tighten the skin and smooth the skin’s surface.
The IPL Laser
The IPL laser helps to improve skin tone as well as reduce hair growth. It uses light refraction to target areas of hyperpigmentation, including age spots, sun spots, sun damage, melasma, and unwanted hair growth. It can also address facial flushing and broken capillaries resulting from rosacea. This, in turn, will provide a more even skin tone.
IPL for Hair Reduction
When using the IPL laser for hair reduction, smaller surface areas like the upper lip, chin, face, neck, and underarms are the most ideal areas to treat. Because it is an IPL laser, caution has to be used when treating those with darker skin types, and it is important to avoid sun exposure for one week prior to treatment and one week afterward. Six treatments are always needed due to the fact that there are six cycles of hair growth, and each treatment is spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Once all of the treatments are complete, the resulting hair reduction is permanent!
