Who is a Good Candidate for SKINVIVE™?
The best candidates for SKINVIVE™ are patients who have lost a youthful hydration in the cheeks and are starting to experience wrinkles, lines, and poor skin texture in the midface. Patients who have a history of severe allergies or have had previous allergic reactions to other hyaluronic acid fillers should not receive SKINVIVE™ treatments.
What is the SKINVIVE™ Procedure Like?
SKINVIVE™ takes less than one hour to administer. Prior to treatment, we’ll apply a topical anesthetic to the treatment area to minimize any discomfort that may occur during the injection process. Then, Dr. Peters uses a fine needle to inject SKNIVIVE™ into and around the cheeks.
Is There Any Downtime After SKINVIVE™?
There is little to no downtime after SKINVIVE™ treatments. Patients can expect to resume their normal activities immediately after their appointment. However, patients are advised to avoid exercise, makeup, and excessive sun exposure for the first 24 hours. Temporary side effects may include bruising, swelling, or redness in the treatment area, which typically resolve within a week.
How Long Do SKINVIVE™ Results Last?
Clinical studies show that SKINVIVE™ produces results that last approximately 6 months. For this reason, many patients choose to receive touch-up treatments approximately twice per year to maintain their results.
