Whether you want to remove a significant amount of body fat or smooth and firm the contours of your body, our body contouring procedures can not only transform the way you look, but they can also have a positive impact on your self-esteem and overall quality of life.

About Body Contouring

Dr. Peters uses body sculpting procedures to create a sleeker, more proportioned silhouette for his patients. Some patients can achieve their desired results from an isolated procedure, while others may require a combination of procedures to achieve the complete makeover they desire. For instance, a patient may be able to achieve a flatter and firmer midsection through a combination of abdominoplasty and liposuction better than an isolated abdominoplasty surgery. Dr. Peters creates a surgical plan for each body contouring procedure he performs according to the patient's existing condition and his or her desired outcome to achieve the best results possible.

Body Contouring in Orlando, FL

Body contouring, also known as liposculpture, is a type of cosmetic surgery that removes excess fat and/or skin to reshape and tighten various stubborn areas across the body. Patients who seek these surgeries are usually at or near their ideal weight, but they may have stubborn areas of fat or sagging, excess skin that disfigures their profile. While body contouring procedures can significantly reshape the body, creating the appearance of massive weight loss, and improve the fit of your clothes, body contouring is not ideal for patients who need to lose a large amount of weight. Dr. Peters requires that patients reach their ideal weight prior to undergoing these procedures.

How Can Body Contouring Improve Your Appearance?

At the Center for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, patients have a number of body sculpting procedures to choose from to totally makeover their appearance. Dr. Peters uses his extensive experience in body contouring to restore balance and proportion to various areas of the body and subtly transform and reshape the body with precision.

CoolSculpting®

CoolSculpting®, also known as cryolipolysis or fat freezing, is an advanced body contouring procedure that uses gentle cooling energy to freeze fat cells and create a slimmer, more contoured appearance. The CoolSculpting® procedure can be used to reduce fat in the arms, legs, abdomen, back, and even under the chin.

Liposuction

Liposuction is designed to remove localized deposits of fat from specific areas of the body, creating a more contoured and defined shape while reducing the overall size of the body. This simple and effective outpatient procedure can create a balanced and proportionate figure with far less risk and downtime than more invasive surgical procedures. Dr. Peters can perform liposuction on multiple areas of the body as an isolated procedure or use liposuction to enhance the results of breast, tummy, face, and other body contouring procedures.

Tummy Tuck

During abdominoplasty, more commonly referred to as a tummy tuck, excess fat and skin are removed from the body, and the remaining skin is pulled taut to create a slimmer, firmer midsection. By reducing abdominal laxity and improving tone in the midsection, a tummy tuck can slim and tighten the waistline and reverse the cosmetic changes brought on by pregnancy and fluctuations in weight. A tummy tuck not only rejuvenates the midsection aesthetically, but it also restores the underlying musculature and functionality of the abdomen. Abdominoplasty completely transforms the stomach by reducing the circumference of the waist from within, improving abdominal strength and muscle tone, and correcting abdominal ergonomics and posture.

Mini Tummy Tuck

For patients with mild cases of excess abdominal fat and skin and muscle laxity below the belly button, the mini tummy tuck is the ideal alternative to the more invasive abdominoplasty procedure.

Brazilian Butt Lift

Gluteal lift/augmentation, more commonly referred to as the Brazilian butt lift, is a procedure that lifts the gluteal muscles to make the buttocks firmer and rounder in appearance.

Mommy Makeover

The mommy makeover features a combination of body contouring procedures that restore a woman's body to its pre-pregnancy appearance. Pregnancy and childbirth change the body shape, skin elasticity, fat distribution, and muscle tone in most mothers, but the mommy makeover is designed to counteract these physical changes. While diet and exercise can counteract some of these changes, the mommy makeover is the ideal way to correct all of these imperfections at the same time.

Brachioplasty

During arm lift surgery, medically termed brachioplasty, excess sagging skin and fat are removed from the upper arms to reduce the appearance of "bat wings." This procedure will improve the fit of short sleeve and sleeveless tops and one's comfort with wearing these items of clothing.

VASER® Lipo

VASER® Lipo is a revolutionary body contouring system that emulsifies excess fat prior to removal from the target area. Precise and minimally invasive body sculpting technology allows doctors to easily remove large quantities of fat and create realistic, attractive results in a single treatment session with less pain and a shorter recovery process than traditional liposuction procedures.

Body Lift

Loose skin and stubborn, localized pockets of fat often plague many people who lose a significant amount of weight, and no amount of exercise and strength training will minimize the appearance of these imperfections. During body lift surgery, stubborn areas of fat and heavy, loose folds of skin and tissues are trimmed away from the body. The remaining skin is then gently re-draped over the body to create a smaller, firmer silhouette.

Thigh Lift

During a thigh lift, excess fat and skin are surgically removed from the thighs to create a smoother, firmer contour in the thigh area. Skin laxity and poor muscle tone occur in the thigh area due to a combination of the natural aging process, gravity, and dramatic fluctuations in body weight. The thigh lift procedure improves the contours of the legs by restoring tone to the thigh area and tightening the buttocks. Patients who have lost a substantial amount of weight often opt to combine the thigh lift procedure with other body contouring surgeries, such as an arm lift or tummy tuck.

Am I A Good Candidate For Body Contouring?

Before undergoing a body sculpting procedure, your weight should be relatively stable for at least 12 months. Many people opt for body contouring procedures after they've already lost a dramatic amount of weight through bariatric surgery or traditional diet and exercise. Candidacy for body contouring procedures varies from patient to patient, but your health status and your expectations for your desired procedure(s) will ultimately determine if you're a good candidate for body contouring surgery.

How Much Does Body Contouring Cost In Orlando?

Body sculpting surgery is required for some patients due to medical reasons, and some insurance providers will cover the cost of surgery when body contouring is medically necessary. However, in most other cases, the cost of body contouring surgery will not be covered by health insurance. At the Center for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, we make these procedures more affordable for our patients through financing options such as CareCredit®. We also accept cash, personal checks, and major credit cards for payment.
