Brow Lift in Orlando, FL
The eyes are often the first physical feature people notice about another person, and they’re also the first physical feature to show noticeable signs of aging. Droopy, sagging skin around the brow and eye areas can cast a shadow over the entire face, causing one to look fatigued, grumpy, and much older than their true age. The Center for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in Orlando is led by board-certified plastic surgeon Kendall Peters, MD, FACS, who performs brow lifts on the men and women of Orange County and Central Florida who want to combat signs of aging around the eyes and rejuvenate their overall appearance.
What is a Brow Lift?
A brow lift raises the eyebrows and reduces ridges and furrows on the forehead, thus creating a smoother, more youthful appearance. This procedure can be performed by itself or in tandem with other facial surgeries, such as a facelift or blepharoplasty. As aging occurs, the eyebrows descend, look heavy, and create a hooding effect over the eyes. Excessive sun exposure and stress contribute to deep forehead wrinkles. Together, these create a tired, unhappy, worried appearance. The brow lift restores a more natural position of the eyebrows and improves and softens forehead wrinkles. The result—a more rested, alert, happy, natural look.
Benefits of a Brow Lift
Brow lifts offer a number of benefits to our patients, including:
- Softening the appearance of forehead lines and wrinkles
- Tightening and lifting sagging eyebrows and eyelid skin
- Reversing premature signs of aging that can cause one to look old and tired
- Boosting confidence and self-esteem
The Brow Lift Procedure
Brow lifts are done in several ways. An “open brow lift” entails making an incision across the scalp either behind the hairline or just at the hairline. This elevates the forehead and eyebrows to a more natural position. An “endoscopic brow lift” entails using special instruments to elevate the forehead and brow by suspending the forehead through two or three vertical incisions in the hairline. A third approach is the “direct eyebrow lift” which uses incisions made just at the top of each eyebrow to remove the excess forehead skin.
Brow Lift Recovery
Recovery from a brow lift is typically one to two weeks, though you may be asked to avoid strenuous or excessive activity for up to four weeks.
How Much Does a Brow Lift Cost in Orlando?
Brow lift surgery varies in cost from patient to patient depending on the extensiveness of one’s procedure and any additional procedures performed in conjunction with this surgery. Dr. Peters will review the cost of your procedure and all of the payment options available to you during a personal consultation. A brow lift is a purely cosmetic procedure that is rarely covered by health insurance plans, but cash, checks, and most credit cards are acceptable forms of payment for this procedure, and we also offer financing through CareCredit®. Once you’ve finalized your date of surgery, we ask that you pay the cost of your procedure in full at least two weeks in advance of that date.
Is a Brow Lift Right for Me?
If you feel that lines, wrinkles, and folds around the forehead and brow region of your face are aging you prematurely and causing you to constantly look tired or unhappy, then a brow lift may be able to improve the way you look and feel.
