The plan combined a direct neck lift technique with chin augmentation to address the lower face and neck together as a single unit. A direct neck lift places the incision along the neck itself, which suits male patients well because beard skin and collar lines make the scar far less visible than in women. The chin augmentation was added to give the jawline a cleaner forward projection to work with the neck work.
