For those patients dissatisfied with the appearance of their nose, rhinoplasty can be performed to adjust the size or shape of the nose.  Large or misshapen noses or patients with difficulty breathing often benefit from this procedure. In cases where there is some associated breathing obstruction, internal nasal surgery such as a septoplasty may need to be performed.  Rhinoplasty may also be required to correct disfigurement resulting from trauma.  Our goal is to create a more balanced, symmetrical nose.  Rhinoplasty often involves removal of a hump, refining the nasal tip, and narrowing a nose.  This can improve the proportionality of the nose to other facial features thereby creating a more smooth and harmonious appearance.  The incisions are almost entirely hidden inside of the nose making surgical scars virtually undetectable.
