If you are interested in a plastic surgical procedure our staff will schedule an appointment for you to meet with one of our surgeons. This initial visit is your opportunity to learn more about the procedure and what it entails. You will be given details about the operation, the recovery period, the risks and benefits of the procedure. You will have an opportunity to ask questions regarding the surgery and discuss any concerns you may have.
We want your experience at CPRS to be as informative and comfortable as possible. Upon arrival to CPRS, you will be greeted by our office staff and asked to fill out several information forms regarding your general health, medical history, insurance information, and basic demographics. You will also be asked to sign a photo consent form and acknowledgement of our privacy practices. If this is your first time visiting CPRS, please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete these forms. You may also view and print these forms from our website and fill them out ahead of time.
A clinic nurse will bring you to an examination room. The physician you have selected will meet with you to discuss your goals and what you hope to accomplish. After performing an exam, our physician will give you his best opinion about what procedures may meet your objectives. He will also determine your surgical risk based on your age, medical history, and the length and type of surgery contemplated. You may be asked to obtain a medical clearance from your primary care doctor prior to scheduling your surgery to ensure that your surgery is performed under the safest conditions.
If you will be having a cosmetic procedure, a member of our staff will meet with you at the conclusion of your consultation with our surgeon to discuss the cost of the procedure with you and various options for financing. If you have a date in mind or wish to schedule surgery, the coordinator will work to accommodate your schedule. If you are only in the information gathering stage, the coordinator will be happy to answer any additional questions you may have and remain a point of contact for future phone calls or scheduling needs.
Following the completion of your visit, we remain available for questions or concerns. The physicians will gladly conduct a second consultation at no additional charge if you have additional questions or concerns. When you are ready to schedule your procedure, please call our office and we will make the necessary arrangements.
